Website inquiries and LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms
Effective and last updated: 23 October 2026
This notice explains how WILFORD handles personal information received through www.wilfordboiler.com, LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms and related business communications.
1. Who we are
Zhangjiagang Wilford Thermal Co., Ltd. (WILFORD, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides industrial boilers and thermal systems. We are responsible for the personal information we receive through our website, business inquiries and our LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms.
Address: No. 5 Nanyuan Road, Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu, China.
Privacy contact: [email protected]
Website: www.wilfordboiler.com
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you contact us, we receive:
- Business contact information: your name, email address, telephone number if provided, company name and job title.
- Project information: installation country, application, equipment interests, steam demand, operating pressure, energy supply, purchasing timetable and other details you choose to submit.
- Communications: inquiry messages, quotation requests, correspondence and records of our responses.
- Source and consent information: the form or advertisement associated with an inquiry, campaign identifiers, submission time and consent choices where recorded.
- Website technical information: connection and request information processed when you access the site, such as IP address, browser information and requested pages, and information from cookies or similar tools where enabled.
We receive information directly from you, from a colleague acting for your organization, or from LinkedIn when you submit one of our Lead Gen Forms. Please provide only information needed for your inquiry. Do not submit passwords, identity documents, payment card details, health information or other sensitive personal information through an inquiry form.
3. How and why we use information
- Respond to inquiries and identify the appropriate sales or technical contact.
- Discuss equipment selection, assess project requirements and prepare requested quotations or proposals.
- Follow up on your request and, where relevant, support an order, delivery, commissioning or after-sales service.
- Maintain business communication records, administer the website, prevent misuse and protect our systems.
- Understand which campaigns generate inquiries, using source information and permitted measurement tools.
- Meet applicable recordkeeping obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Submitting an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to newsletters or unrelated promotional messages. If we offer those communications, we seek any separate permission required by applicable law and provide a way to stop them.
4. Grounds for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, the basis depends on the activity: taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract with you, complying with legal obligations, your consent, or legitimate interests where that basis is available and your rights do not override those interests.
For business contacts acting for a company, our legitimate interests may include answering a business inquiry, managing the relationship and protecting our services. We rely on consent for optional marketing or tracking where required. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
5. LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms
When you submit a WILFORD Lead Gen Form on LinkedIn, LinkedIn shares the information in your submitted form with us. This can include profile fields you review or edit, your answers to project questions and the associated form or campaign information. We use that information for the inquiry and purposes described in the form and this notice.
Our authorized team may retrieve submissions from Campaign Manager or transfer them to a business recordkeeping or customer-management system. Access should be limited to people who need the information for the inquiry. We do not sell LinkedIn Lead Gen Form submissions.
LinkedIn separately processes information about its platform and advertising services under its own Privacy Policy. That policy does not replace this notice about WILFORD’s use of your submitted information.
6. Who receives information
Information may be accessed by our authorized sales, engineering and support personnel as needed for their work. Where used for these purposes, recipients may also include providers of website hosting, form handling, email, IT support, business recordkeeping and customer-management services.
If your project requires a distributor, installation partner or other independent business to receive your personal information, we explain the relevant arrangement and obtain permission where required before sharing. We may also disclose information when legally required, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect legal rights. We limit sharing to the information needed for the relevant purpose.
7. Processing in China and other countries
WILFORD is based in China. Information you submit may be accessed and handled by our team in China. LinkedIn and any service providers may also process information in countries where they operate; those countries may have different data protection rules from your own.
Where applicable law requires safeguards or a specific legal mechanism for a transfer, those requirements must be met for the transfer. You can contact our privacy mailbox to ask where your information is handled and about the safeguards applicable to it. This notice does not make consent to an inquiry a substitute for any legally required transfer mechanism.
8. How long information is kept
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose and applicable legal requirements. Retention is assessed by considering whether an inquiry or project remains active, whether information is needed to support a quotation, order or service, the last meaningful business contact, applicable recordkeeping periods and any unresolved claim or dispute.
When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or anonymized. Copies in routine backups may remain until the relevant backup cycle ends, with use restricted in the meantime. LinkedIn’s own availability period for form submissions is separate from the retention of copies held by WILFORD.
9. Website cookies and measurement
Our website includes form functionality and Google Tag Manager, which can be used to manage website tags. The presence of a tag manager alone does not mean every analytics or advertising service is active.
Where optional analytics, advertising cookies or similar technologies are enabled, their providers, purposes and choices should be explained through the website’s cookie information and controls. We seek consent before using non-essential technologies where required. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although disabling necessary cookies may affect site functionality.
A LinkedIn form submission and optional tracking of a website visit are separate activities. If LinkedIn website conversion or retargeting tools are introduced, the relevant notices and choices must be updated before use where required.
10. Protecting information
We take reasonable organizational and technical measures appropriate to the information and risks, including limiting access to authorized personnel and protecting business systems. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive or unnecessary personal information in a project inquiry.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
You may object to direct marketing at any time. Use an unsubscribe option where provided, or email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request”. Tell us enough to identify the relevant inquiry; do not send identity documents unless we explain why a proportionate verification step is necessary.
We respond within the period required by applicable law. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or claims, and we will explain applicable limits. You may also complain to the data protection authority competent for your location, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office where applicable.
Providing inquiry information is generally voluntary. If you do not provide contact details or essential project information, we may be unable to respond or prepare a suitable recommendation. Receiving optional marketing is not a condition of requesting a quotation.
12. Children and external services
Our business inquiry services are intended for adult professional contacts and are not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so that we can review and address it.
Links to LinkedIn, WhatsApp and other external services are subject to those services’ own privacy notices. Please review them when using those services.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this notice when our practices or applicable requirements change. The published page will show its latest revision date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
